We source much of our material from a company that takes discarded materials from the garment industry, sorts it by color, and recycles it into rope. There is no dye added. This can cause slight variations in colors from batch to batch. About 15 of materials in the garmet industry becomes scraps, while 87% of textiles end up in landfills or incinerators, adding 97 million tons to our landfills every year. Small changes, like purchasing from a company that focusing on the environment, helps our beautiful planet. I would like to think of all the items I have for sale, as forever items. There is no reason, other than the drastic ones, that a macrame piece I sell won’t last you, your lifetime and even be passed down.
